Awesome Beach, really calm. I could feel the sand and waves on my foot taking away all the tension with them. I really enjoyed my time there. Since there are a lot of places to visit in mangalore. I haven't had the time to spend a few more evenings at the beach.

It is a municipality merged with Mangalore City. It lies between Gurupura or Phalguni and Pavanje or Nandini rivers. It can be considered as north most area of Mangalore city Corporation geographical limits. The Suratkal is 6 kilometer north of New Mangalore sea port.

The nearest airport to Surathkal beach is Mangalore. Surathkal has only one hotel that will suit the budget traveller. It is preferable to stay in Mangalore and plan a day excursion to Surathkal.
